      Wednesday, November 9, 2022 (1st day and 1st business day after Election Day) Deadline to receive “late domestic ballots” mailed within the United States from non-military voters and from any militaryvoters who submitted an Application for Ballot by Mail (“ABBM”) (not a Federal Postcard Application – “FPCA”), if the carrier envelope was placed for delivery by mail or common or contract carrier AND bears a cancellation mark of a postal service or a receipt mark of a common or contract carrier or a courier indicating a time not later than 7:00 p.m. at the location of the election on election day, November 8, 2022.(Secs. 86.007, 101.057, 101.001). A late domestic ballot cannot be counted if it does not bear a cancellation mark or a receipt mark.

       

      Monday, November 14, 2022 (6th day after Election Day) Last day to receive ballots from non-military and any military voters casting ballots from outside of the United States, who submitted an ABBM, (not an FPCA) AND who placed their ballots in delivery by 7:00 p.m. on election day, Tuesday, November 8, 2022, as evidenced by a postal service cancellation mark or a receipt mark of a common or contract carrier or a courier (Secs. 86.007, 101.057, 101.001).  A late overseas ballot sent by a voter who applied for a ballot using an ABBM (not an FPCA) cannot be counted if it does not bear a cancellation mark or a receipt mark.*

    Who can vote by mail?

    You are eligible to vote early by mail if you are a registered voter who is:

            • 65 years of age or older

    • out of the county during the entire election (must provide the address outside the county)

    • College Students

    • sick or disabled

    • confined in jail, but eligible to vote.

    Instruction for submitting an application for Ballot by Mail (ABBM)

    1. Print ABBM Form

    2. OR submit an order online and an ABBM will be mailed to you

    3. Complete Section 1 trough 4.

    YOU MUST PROVIDE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING NUMBERS:

    Texas Driver’s License, Texas Personal Identification Number or Election Identification Certificate Number issued by the Department of Public Safety (NOT your voter registration VUID#)

    If you do not have a Texas Driver’s License, Texas Personal Identification Number or a Texas Election Identification Certificate Number, give the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number 

    4. Sign and Date Section 5.

    5. If you were unable to sign the application and someone witnessed your signature, that person must complete Section 6.

    6. If someone helped you complete the application or mailed the application for you, that person must complete Section 6.

    7. Affix postage.

    a) If you printed the application you must place it in your own envelope and add postage.

    b) If you ordered the application online and it was mailed to you - fold the application in half, moisten top tab, seal and add postage.

    8. Address and mail the completed ABBM to:

    You also have the option of submitting a scanned copy of the completed and signed application to the Early Voting Clerk via email

    If an Application for Ballot By Mail  is submitted by email, the original, hard copy of the application MUST be mailed and received by the early voting clerk no later than the 4th business day.
               

     Instrucciones para presentar una solicitud de boleta por correo (ABBM)

    1. Imprimir una Solicitud de Boleta Postal

    2. O envíe un pedido en línea y se le enviará un ABBM por correo.

    3. Complete la Sección 1 hasta la 4.

    • If you are physically unable to enter the polling place, you may ask that an election officer bring a ballot to you at the entrance of the polling place or to your car at curbside. Please call 323-6212 so election officials will expect you.
